The Morro de São Paulo
Geographical Situation
Morro de São Paulo that integrates the Cairu borough is located at the physiografic zone named Cacaueira (cocoa produce) at low south of the State. The place is part of the Gamboa’s district, Tinharé Island. Besides Tinharé Island, comprises the Archipelago of Cairu 26 more islands but only Tinharé, Cairu (linked to the mainland by a bridge) and Boipeba are inhabited.

Tourist Attractions
Ruins of the Fortress at Morro de São Paulo (seventeenth century-1630);

Nossa Senhora da Luz Church (Lord of the lights) - Inside the Church you find the Replica of Saint Francisco’s Church located in Salvador and built in 1845;

Morro de São Paulo Light house (1855);

Ruins of the Radio - Telegrafic station of the Ministery of the Navy that was used during the Second World War.

Ruins of the Fortress`s wall where is located an old cannon and from where is possible to enjoy of a wonderful outlook with many beaches and coconut trees as well as freshwater pools at fourth beach.

Souce of the Heaven, Located about 3 kilometerts ( 1,86 miles) from the Village in its trail you can enjoy at your right of beautiful landscapes.
